copper, walnut wood | 45 x 45 x 120 cm | 2014
Hand crafted copper paper balls XL, on walnut wood. A paper ball is most of the time waste. You throw a misprint, wrong sketch or note in the bin, in the shape of a paper ball. As we were cleaning and organising, I found these paperballs very inspiring. Beautiful shapes, and a very random and surprising result in each spontanious action. By changing the scale and material, these paperballs transcend waste, and become esthetic constructive elements.
In English I didn't find a nice word for a paper ball, so I used the Dutch word: 'prop'.
